چکیده

For graphs G and H, let G ⊕ H denote their Cartesian sum. We investigate the chromatic number and the circular chromatic number for G ⊕ H. It is proved that for any graphs G and H, χ(G ⊕ H) ≤ max{dχc(G)χ(H)e, dχ(G)χc(H)e}. It is conjectured that for any graphs G and H, χc(G ⊕H) ≤ max{χ(H)χc(G), χ(G)χc(H)}. We confirm this conjecture for graphs G and H with special values of χc(G) and χc(H). These results improve previously known bounds on the corresponding coloring parameters for the Cartesian sum of graphs. 1991 Mathematics Subject Classification. 05C20, 05C35, 05C15 ∗Corresponding Author. On the chromatic number of the lexicographic product and the Cartesian sum of graphs

Let G[H] be the lexicographic product of graphs G and H and let G⊕H be their Cartesian sum. It is proved that if G is a nonbipartite graph, then for any graph H, χ(G[H]) ≥ 2χ(H)+d k e, where 2k+1 is the length of a shortest odd cycle of G. Chromatic numbers of the Cartesian sum of graphs are also considered. It is shown in particular that for χ–critical and not complete graphs G and H, χ(G ⊕ H)...

Strong Dominating - Color Number on Sum and Cartesian Product of Graphs

Let G = (V, E) be a graph. We define strong dominating color number of a graph G as the maximum number of color classes which are strong dominating sets of G, and is denoted by sd(G) , where the maximum is taken over all  -coloring of G. This paper determines the exact values of strong dominating color number of sum and Cartesian product of graphs.

Just chromatic exellence in fuzzy graphs

A fuzzy graph is a symmetric binary fuzzy relation on a fuzzy subset. The concept of fuzzy sets and fuzzy relations was introduced by L.A.Zadeh in 1965cite{zl} and further studiedcite{ka}. It was Rosenfeldcite{ra} who considered fuzzy relations on fuzzy sets and developed the theory of fuzzy graphs in 1975. The concepts of fuzzy trees, blocks, bridges and cut nodes in fuzzy graph has been studi...

Balanced Degree-Magic Labelings of Complete Bipartite Graphs under Binary Operations

A graph is called supermagic if there is a labeling of edges where the edges are labeled with consecutive distinct positive integers such that the sum of the labels of all edges incident with any vertex is constant. A graph G is called degree-magic if there is a labeling of the edges by integers 1, 2, ..., |E(G)| such that the sum of the labels of the edges incident with any vertex v is equal t...
